Activity Overview
Since 2001, Glassworks has been both educating and delighting visitors with informative tours that showcase the stunning displays in its glass galleries.
Stroll through these galleries to see such attractive items as paperweights, perfume bottles, goblets, marbles, ornaments, vessels and jewelry made by local and international artists.
Then see the objects made before your eyes when a Glassblower pulls molten material out of a furnace and shapes it into an elaborate object or when a Flameworker uses a propane torch and glass rod to produce a beautiful work of art.
Things to Do
- Create your own glass object in the Glassworks Walk-In Workshop. Return for the finished product in two weeks or have it shipped to you at an additional charge.
- Take a one hour tour which describes the history of glass art, the techniques used in creating these beautiful pieces, as well as the story of Glassworks itself.
