Activity Overview

If you're looking for something to do that will get you and your family out of the house, you should consider heading along to Rock Creek Park in Rockville, Maryland. The adventure park in Maryland was the UK-based company's first location in the United States.

At Go Ape, you and your family can climb around the top of the trees for several hours. Aside from the obvious advantages of the exercise you get while at Go Ape, you will also have an absolute blast! Of course, this is not the kind of activity if you suffer from a fear of heights as you'll be climbing, swinging, and zip-lining from as high up as 50 feet into the air! You shouldn't worry, though, as you'll be safely secured by a harness and given a thorough briefing on safety and how to enjoy the course without putting yourself in unnecessary danger.

Over six sections, you will climb and swing across 2,000 feet of obstacles in the canopy of the trees in Rock Creek Park. You'll also have a practice session on a training section before being sent onto the higher obstacles.

Things to Do

• Climb to the top of the trees by Lake Needwood in Rock Creek Regional Park.
• Refresh and refuel by grabbing a snack and a drink once you've finished the course.
• Zip-line along the course's six zip-lines as well as the skateboard zip-line. One of the zip-lines will even take you across a road!

• Avoid disappointment by booking your "Treetop Adventure" online ahead of your visit.
• Bring appropriate clothing and footwear. You will not be allowed to access the course if you're not appropriately-dressed.
