Granite Bay Beach Insider Tips
- Save money buy bringing your own picnic items instead of buying food from the concessions stand. There are plenty of picnic areas at Granite Bay, some with barbecue pits that you are welcome to use.
- Explore the rest of Folsom Lake State Recreation Area - if you go for a hike or bike ride, you might come across some of its native wildlife, including black-tailed deer, opossums, gray foxes, and coyotes!
- Don't worry if you come across a rattlesnake while exploring the park - they won't attack you unless they feel threatened, so as long as you're respectful and give them space you'll be fine.
- If your family loves camping, consider spending the night in one of the campgrounds at Beals Point, another popular area of the park that is known for its scenic river trail.
