Activity Overview

Grant's Farm in St. Louis, MO is a trip through history and a zoo intertwined in one fantastic family destination. Open in 1954, the focus of this farm is to bring families together for memorable and fun experiences and to expose them to unique animal encounters with over 1000 exotic animals from 6 continents. Anheuser Busch's recent contributions to the farm have helped to add many more attractions that are beloved by visitors of all ages.

Things to Do

  • Animals: Enjoy one of four animal shows including Elephant Education, Animal Encounters, Grants family carousel, and Tier Garten
  • Clydesdale Stables: Take a general or private tour to see the 25 Clydesdale mares on site.
  • Deer Park: Take tram ride through the deer park.
  • Grant's Farm: view the 80 acre Farm that General Ulysses S. Grant began building in 1855. This stands as the only home built by the hands of an American President.
  • The Bauernhof ( farmstead): the first building built on the Busch family property in 1913. Relax in this beautiful old world setting and enjoy complimentary beer samples, pretzels, bratwurst and more.

Grants Farm Insider Tips

  • Admission to the farm is free and then you pay for any activities that you would like to take part in on an a la carte basis.
  • Parking is $12. Be sure to keep an eye out for 5 dollar coupons for parking.
  • Do not miss out on the elephant show. It is sure to be a highlight of your trip at Grant's Farm.
  • If you are expecting to see the Clydesdales up close during the tour, you might be disappointed. If you want to get up close and personal with them for a photo op the you will have to pay an extra fee to do so. It is one horse in a separate barn.
  • That being said above, I recommend calling ahead and setting up a private behind the scenes tour.
  • There will be plenty of adults sampling the free beer. If that is something that you are uncomfortable with, go early in the day and plan to leave early.
  • You must be an adult 21 years or older to enjoy the free beer samples at the farm.
