Activity Overview
The Greater Cleveland Aquarium grants visitors the opportunity to learn about and experience fish and sea life from all over the world. Their exhibits include aquatic life native not only to the local Ohio region but also to Australia, South America, Africa, the Indo-Pacific and more. The Aquarium aims to educate and entertain all of its visitors especially young children with fun and informative displays. They also organize plenty of activities, programs and events for all ages.
Things to Do
- The Aquarium is home to all kinds of programs for a range of ages. For children between the ages of two and five there is the Small Fry program where games, crafts and other activities are offered to give young kids a chance to learn and explore their senses.
- Anyone over the age of five can spend an overnight at the Aquarium. ZZZ's in the Sea offers children and adults the opportunity plenty of fun activities and animal encounters once the doors of the Aquarium have shut.
- The Very Important Guests (V.I.G) tour offers a specially guided tour for groups of up to six people. First your group will be assigned a guide who will walk you through the various exhibits explaining each one in turn. Then you will go behind the scenes to see how the Aquarium functions on a day to day basis.
Greater Cleveland Aquarium Insider Tips
- Parking in the Aquarium's lot costs $3 from Monday to Friday and $5 on Saturdays and Sundays. Free parking can be found on some of the streets surrounding the facility.
