Phil Hardberger Park is a beautiful park to visit and experience the nature and wildlife, the park was once a working dairy farm. Phil Hardberger Park in San Antonio, Texas is named after Mayor Phil Hardberger, who worked to conserve the land as a park. The park has historic structures, such as the dairy barn, old Texas stone house, and the homestead of the Voelcker's. The dairy barn and the stone house were restored. The park is open to visitors all through the week, the park has hiking and biking trails, children's playgrounds, picnic areas and dog parks.

Things to Do

  • Phil Hardberger Park has miles of hiking and biking trails, you can spot wildlife as you go, coyotes, white-tail deer, rabbits, raccoons, and some snakes can be spotted.
  • The park has a wonderful playground for kids to get outdoors and play, there are swings, slides, a carousel, and a kids fitness course.
  • The park has basketball courts and picnic areas.
  • The dog parks have areas for large and small dogs, it has obstacle courses and water fountains for the dogs.
  • The park is a nature preserve and you can see oak trees, historic trees and woodlands, and other vegetation and pasture.
