If you are looking for a relaxing day out with the family near Raleigh, look no further and visit the Harris Lake County Park, located South of Raleigh in New Hill, NC. Enjoy some fishing with the family, hiking, biking and free play in the playgrounds for children. Families can enjoy a game of disc golf at the disc golf course, the course features 18 baskets to play and 2 practice baskets. The park has many picnic tables and shelters. Many events are held in the park for the families including free disc golf lessons, free fishing and more.

• The park has trails for walking, hiking and mountain biking, The Peninsula hiking trail crosses through pine and oak trees, you may spot wildlife including deer and a turkey.
• The mountain bike trails are designed for varying skill levels, the mountain bike skill area lets you learn the advanced skills of mountain biking.
• Enjoy fishing with your family at the fishing pier or the pond, you can catch catfish, bass, bluegill and sunfish.
• After a fun day of hiking and fishing, enjoy picnic at one of the picnic tables or shelters, picnic shelters with grills can be reserved by large groups.
• Playgrounds for kids and toddlers are near the picnic area, there are volley ball courts and restrooms near the picnic area.
