Smoothies are a wonderful way to add beneficial nutrition to your diet, and including a source of fiber is even better. Flax seeds may seem like an unusual ingredient to a smoothie, but they blend in really well and make this breakfast drink an excellent source of fiber. Enjoy!
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons whole flax seeds
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup nonfat vanilla yogurt
- 1 cup unsweetened frozen mixed berries or blueberries
- 1 small banana, sliced
Preparation

Place the flax seeds in dry blender, cover.

Blend until ground into a fine powder.

Add the orange juice, yogurt, mixed berries (or blueberries), and banana.

Cover and blend until smooth and creamy.
