Activity Overview
The Hocking Hills State Park is home to a wonderful assortment of wildlife and breath-taking nature. It is also home to a great amount of attractions and things to do. One can come here to hike one of multiple routes and get that bit closer to nature. Or they can indulge in another activity like canoeing, fishing, archery or rock climbing. As long as you like to be a bit active you are sure to enjoy a visit to the state park. Plus if you really like it you can rent out a cabin for the night!
Things to Do
- Hocking Hills State Park is the ideal location for hikers to visit. There is an abundance of routes that vary greatly in terms of length and difficulty to ensure that almost all fitness levels are catered for. Mot importantly of course the urroundings are spectacular. There are a few different waterfalls, caves and cliffs located around the park that serve as the perfect reward for a taxing trek. For advanced hikers the staff at the State Park recommend the Grandma Gatewood Trail and is a 10 mile all day round trip.
