Activity Overview
Holding Park is a 5-acre park in the city of Wake Forest, North Carolina, which is less than 20 miles away from Raleigh. The park's most popular feature is the Holding Park Pool, a 50-meter swimming pool that opens each summer and is one of the largest outdoor pools in the area. It also has a playground, a basketball court, picnic tables, and charcoal grills, and is home to the Wake Forest Community House, a community center that can be rented for events of all kinds.
Things to Do
- Cool off in the summer heat with a visit to the Holding Park Pool! Between May and August, you can stop by the pool to swim, splash and dive for as long as you want.
- Take your child to the playground - its features include five slides and a swing set they can use to soar high into the sky.
- Bring along a basketball and play a game with your family on the park's basketball court!
- Take your dog for a walk along the park's trails - just make sure to keep them on a leash and use the pet waste disposal stations that are provided throughout the area.
