Activity Overview

Don't miss out on a tour of the building where our government was born. Independence Hall was completed in 1753 to serve as the home for the new province of Pennsylvania.

The Second Continental Congress met from 1775 to 1783 in Independence Hall, and the Constitutional Convention was held there in the summer of 1787. Most notably, the Founding Fathers gathered to debate, finalize and sign the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution in one of the Hall's rooms.
