Activity OverviewThe Indiana State Fair started out in 1881 in Indianapolis, Indiana, it is an annual fair centered on agriculture and youth that is usually held in August. The idea behind the Indiana state fair was to provide a platform to local farmers for displaying their products, and learn the modern farming techniques. Indiana state fair is one of the oldest in the country, the prominent landmarks are the fairgrounds Coliseum, the boy scout legacy bridge, the glass barn and the youth arena. Families frequent the fair every year, the fair provides potential for learning and quality recreation for the whole family.
