Activity Overview
Part of the Chattahoochee River, the 30-acre Jones Bridge Park is hailed by most reviews as the best place to see the river. The park features pavilions, a playground, a sand volleyball court, soccer fields, and a grilling area. Park is open from sun up to sun down.
Things to Do
- Plan for a family day in the outdoors. Pack a blanket, bring food and drinks, and take your fishing rod with you. Go fishing on the river overlook areas, take the day's catch to the grill, and cook a sumptuous lunch. Your family can go on a picnic at a pavilion with the river as your background.
- While you are on your fishing escapade, the kids can go play at the playground. It's not as big as other outdoor playgrounds but it has new equipment and climbing structures for the kids.
- Jog or walk on the trail by the river. The trail is not too long but the views are wonderful. You may spot some herons too!
- Take your swimsuits and go for a swim in the river! Bring life jackets for the little ones. The current can be strong and the rocks are slippery on some parts of the river so take extra precaution.
