Activity Overview

Leesylvania State Park is a beautiful scenic park offering many attractions and activities for the families, the park gives nice views of the Potomac River and is located in Woodbridge, VA. Native Americans lived alongside the river for thousands of years. The park offers outdoor recreational activities like fishing and boating, hiking on the nature trails and picnic areas for picnicking, children's playground and a visitor center with nature exhibits. The park is open all through the week sunrise to sunset.

Things to Do

• Visit the park with your family enjoy activities like fishing at the fishing pier, fishes like bass and catfish thrive in the river.
• Boating and canoeing can be done in the river, the park has boat launching ramps and kayak launch areas.
• Swimming is generally not allowed. Hiking and dog walk can be done on the nature trails, the trails give some nice views of the Potomac River.
• Picnic areas can be used and rented, restrooms and parking lots are located nearby the picnic areas.
• Kids can play in the playground and at the beach side of the water. Learn about the native American history of the land in the visitor center.
