Activity Overview
For a day away from the hustle and bustle and stress of urban living, why not head along to Long & Scott Farms just south of Mount Dora? You can get there in just over half an hour in good traffic and enjoy a day with nature. The farm was originally started by Frank Scott Jr. and Billy Long over 50 years ago. Though both men were originally from Virginia, they moved to Florida in 1963 where they took an area of 100 acres and turned it into Long & Scott Farms which over the years was expanded to a size of over 1,000 acres.
While Billy Long retired in 1998, Frank Scott is only partially-retired and several family members are still involved with the day-to-day functions of the farm which has been part of the central Floridian landscape for over 5 decades.

- Have a bite to eat at Scott's Country Café where you can enjoy food that was grown right on the café's doorstep! There is plenty of homemade stuff for you to enjoy!

- Take the kids along to the play area where they can run around and play to their hearts' content.
