Activity Overview
Those seeking adventure will not want to miss the Louisville Mega Cavern. An enormous mine in use from the early 1930's to the 1970's, the Cavern now offers underground rope challenge obstacle courses, zip lines, and a mega tram which transports visitors around the 17 miles of corridors beneath the city of Louisville to see early cavern formations, a replica of a Cuban missile bunker, mining operations and more.
Tour guides point out facts about history, geology, recycling, green building technology and even fun facts about the Cavern's storm dog and pigeon eating hawk.
