Activity Overview
Nature lovers will not want to miss the Louisville Nature Center, where one can admire over 180 different varieties of trees, shrubs and native wildflowers along with a picturesque pond on a walk through the garden.
One can also watch for over 150 species of resident and migratory birds, 30 different butterfly species and dragonflies galore amongst the shrubs. Additional wildlife can be seen darting here and there in this green space.
Things to Do
- Make use of over two miles of hiking trails in adjoining Beargrass Creek State Nature Preserve.
- Pack a lunch and relax at one of the picnic tables under the covered gazebo.
- In inclement weather, visit the library, where many interesting books and activities are stored.
- Stroll indoors to admire the impressive, 300 square foot mural and other exhibits.
