Activity Overview

Make your very own Foam Bath Shapes and Letters to add to your bath time fun. These foam shapes stick to the wall when they come in contact with water. Kids can create story boards, practice their spelling, create scenic pictures, or put simple shapes into mosaic designs.

This craft and activity can keep bath time fun for all aged children. School aged children can even help with the tracing, drawing and cutting. After bath time, simply allow some dry time and store in a container for many future uses. These foam shapes and letters have become a favorite in our home and the supply of pieces keeps expanding with new ideas that they want to make and add to the box.

Materials Needed

  • Foam craft sheets in a variety of colors
  • A pen
  • Scissors

How to Make Them

  1. Trace or draw thick block capital Letters of the alphabet onto your craft foam sheets. I find that 3 inches tall are a good guideline.
  2. Use your scissors to cut them out and set them aside.
  3. Draw some simply objects or shapes or scenery on some sheets of craft foam.
  4. Use your scissors to cut them out and set them aside.
  5. Dip them in water at bathtime and stick them to the walls of the tub and shower for bathtime play.
