Activity Overview
Few things are celebrated more fervently than Mardi Gras and of all the places to celebrate it, New Orleans is famous for it. New Orleans is so crazy about Mardi Gras, its parades, and its floats, that it even has its very own museum dedicated to it, Mardi Gras World!
The museum has been part of New Orleans' cultural landscape for a number of years thanks to the work of the float builder Blaine Kern, Sr. After around four decades of building magnificent floats, Mardi Gras World was opened in order to show tourists how the outstanding floats of Mardi Gras are made.
Mardi Gras World is a way to enjoy the beauty of the Mardi Gras parades without all the crowds that make their way to The Big Easy for this annual event and offers a fascinating insight into how they all come together.
