The Margaret Mitchell House is a historic house and museum in Atlanta, Georgia that once belonged to author Margaret Mitchell, best known as the writer of Gone with the Wind. In 1925, Mitchell moved into one of several apartments in the beautiful Tudor Revival building with her husband, and in the following years wrote the majority of Gone with the Wind, which eventually became a famous 1939 film. Since 1997, the building has been a museum dedicated to the life and work of this famous American writer.
