Missouri Botanical garden is a 153-years old conservatory and a center for Science and education. The beautiful historical botanical garden offers free daily tours for people of all ages, and there are special field trips for school children.
Children can learn and explore about the plants and history of the garden through a guided tour. It is a great place for families to visit. The splendid Botanical garden is spread across 79 acres of land, a colorful and beautiful display of up to 51,000 plants of different species. - The Botanical garden houses some of the most picturesque and vibrant collection of plants and flowers, the Climatron conservatory displays the most flourishing tropical rainforest, and there are the beautiful Ottoman garden and English woodland garden.
- The Japanese garden is a scintillating place, where adults can take children for a stroll. This garden covers an area of 14 acres.
- Enjoy leisure dinner at Sassafras, a delicious Sunday brunch is offered at cafe Flora, and for some quick snacking they have the Terrace cafe.
- Wonderful plant shows, such as Orchid show, Desert show, are scheduled seasonally. Apart from these plant shows, cultural shows, such as Japanese festival and Chinese culture days are held at the vicinity.
- "Best of Missouri market" is held in October, an opportunity for great family fun, with live music, baked goods, a display of handcrafted items, jewelry, and cooking demonstrations, along with a kid's corner.
- Great Green adventure program is designed for kids of 6-12 age group, the kids will explore plants and nature, and will be involved in many hands-on activities at the garden.
