Activity Overview
Since 2006, the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MOCAD) has provided the city of Detroit with a wide variety of contemporary art exhibitions from around the world. It is located within a fascinating historic building that was formerly used as an auto dealership. Instead of developing its own permanent collection, the museum focuses on presenting new exhibitions every few months, as well as providing public programs such as musical performances, film screenings, lectures, readings, and special activities for children.
