Located in the heart of St. Louis, Missouri, The Museum of Transportation is home to one of the largest and most widespread collection of transportation vehicles in the world. The Museum of Transportation Houses more than 70 locomotives and nearly have of them are the last ones around of their kind. The fascinating indoor and outdoor displays have something for everyone to enjoy.
Things to Do
- Enjoy Public and Private Tours of the museum and grounds.
- See one of the most complete collections of automobiles, buses, streetcars, aircraft and even horse drawn carriages.
- Enjoy the Creation Station which is dedicated to children ages 5 and under. It teaches children all about transportation while focusing on the primary skills of young children. The cost is $2 per child per hour and is based on a first come first serve basis.
- There is a miniature train ride available for adults and children to ride around the museum grounds.

- Wear comfortable shoes. You will do a bit of walking as you explore this fascinating museum.
- Enjoy the childlike adventure of riding the miniature train around the grounds of the museum.
- Public Tours do not need reservations but private tours do. Please call ahead to schedule so that the museum can bets meet your needs.
- The Creation Station will be closed if the Parkways School District is closed due to inclement Weather.
- Some activities are a la cart requiring a small fee to participate in.
- The miniature train runs at 20 minutes and 40 minutes past the hour, costs $4 per person, and runs weather pending.
