My Big Backyard is a popular children's garden attraction at the Memphis Botanic Garden. It is divided into numerous areas where children are encouraged to explore and learn about nature while playing. The garden's many activities allow children to play musical instruments, explore a pond, view a vegetable garden, navigate a maze, put on a puppet show, make mud pies, and enjoy a bird's eye view of the garden. It's especially great for young children who love to play outdoors.

Things to Do

• Visit the Seedling Circle, where little ones can splash in a fountain, crawl through a doghouse, and dig in the dirt for bugs.
• Get some exercise on the Leaping Lawn, a large green space where children can run around, follow the stepping stones, and enjoy rolling down a hill.
• Play musical instruments like drums and marimbas in the Backyard Bluff area.
• Take your child to Playhouse Lane, where they can use their imagination to have a tea party with fairies and play in the "Country House".
• Learn about how vegetables are grown and dress up a scarecrow while visiting My Little Garden.
