Activity Overview
It’s chic, it’s glam, it’s a world famous art collection in a fantastic $70M structure of polished stone, wood and glass…the last place you would think junior would be welcome to visit, right?. But au contraire, the Nasher is very family friendly.
The Raymond and Patsy Nasher Collection is the home of 300-plus modern and contemporary masterpieces by world-famous artists. The Nasher also has special exhibits from private collections and other museums.
The building itself is a work of art and was designed to maximize sunlight as it changes throughout the day.
Things to See & Do
The first Saturday of every month admission is free and family fun events take place. Called the “Big Idea,” kids ages 3 to 10 will enjoy doing their own art projects with inspiration and materials provided by the museum.
The kids can dash into the Nasher Café for a kids meal and then join in many more activities from scavenger hunts, story time and tours for the entire family.
Need some evening entertainment? Bring a blanket to see a free concert and movie under the stars in the green and gorgeous Nasher garden. Held the third Friday of each month and is known as ‘til Midnight at the Nasher.
