Activity Overview
The National Harbor is a 300-acre waterfront area along the Potomac River which has been developed in recent years to hold a diverse array of restaurants, shops, attractions, and festivals. It is home to over 150 shops and boutiques and more than 30 restaurants, as well as numerous family-friendly events and attractions.

Things to Do
- Go for a ride on The Capital Wheel, National Harbor's most famous attraction, which takes you 180 feet up in the air. From high above the Potomac River, you'll be able to see Washington, D.C. landmarks like the White House, the Capitol, the National Mall, and Arlington Cemetery. - Take your young children to The Carousel, which boasts an Americana-themed carousel with fun creatures for the kids to ride. Other attractions include a playground, a special toddler play area, and plenty of picnic tables where families can sit, eat, and relax in the summer sun.
- The whole family can enjoy a beautiful weekend being active in the great outdoors at the National Harbor. Recreation opportunities include biking and walking trails, boat rentals, kayak and paddleboard rentals, and pedal boat rentals.
