Things to Do
- There are two charming piers along the Newport Beach. The first, Newport Pier, is an official California Historical Landmark and stretches 1,032 feet out into the ocean. The Pier makes an excellent place for a leisurely stroll with the family or an evening meal at the restaurant that sits at its end. Balboa Pier, built in 1906 is another popular spot. This is a particularly good location for fishing.
- If you like to walk then you should enjoy the 3 mile path that runs along the coast of West Newport. This is a popular spot for dog walkers, bikers, roller-skaters and others enjoying the great weather. It also makes the perfect place to people watch.
- The seas around Newport Beach whip up some of the best waves in California. Right along the Newport coastline are excellent places not only to surf but also to bodyboard and bodysurf.
