Activity Overview
They do mean it when they say that Ocean City Beach is "America's Greatest Family Resort". The city government has kept Ocean City a dry city - guests are not allowed to purchase alcoholic beverages within its premises. This helps cultivate a family-friendly atmosphere in addition to a wide variety of activities that are suitable for the entire family.
Things to Do
- Pack your picnic bags and rent umbrellas and chairs for a day of lounging at the beach. The shore is not very wide so you will not need to walk too far to get to the beach. Kids will have a grand time making sandcastles, running, and playing around.
- Engage in water activities such as surfing, jet skiing, paddle boarding, and kite boarding. Boogie boarding and body surfing is a sure hit with the kids too!
- Stroll at the Ocean City Boardwalk, visit the shops, and grab a bite from any of the restaurants or food stalls. The boardwalk is an ideal bike ride route too especially early in the morning when there's less foot traffic.
- At night, take the kids to the brightly lit Playland's Castaway Cove or Gillian's Wonderland Pier where you can play arcade games, line up for kiddie rides, and play a round of mini golf.
