Activity Overview

Oregon Jewish Museum showcases exhibits that offer learning and educational resources on the history of holocaust and the history and presence of Jewish people in the state of Oregon. There are many public exhibits on display, people of all walks of life can visit the museum and learn about the history of the Jewish people in Portland and Oregon. The 55-seat auditorium features informational documentaries based on historical events. The museum is open to self-guided tours, the museum has recently been moved to a new location in Portland.

  • Visit the museum to learn more about the Jewish history in the state and the events of holocaust and the subsequent migrations.
  • The museum offers lectures, exhibits and events. The exhibits cover historical events as well as Jewish culture and art.
  • Explore the exhibit on Jewish immigrant history and the holocaust memorial. Many traveling and temporary exhibits are also on display.
  • Many special events are held in the museum, such as gift and books fair and special talks.
  • The gift shop has many items of interest to purchase—books, jewelry, gifts, souvenirs and more.
