Peninsula Park in Portland, Oregon is a large public park, it is a historic park, and includes city's first public rose garden and a community center. Peninsula park features a large playground for kids, and many other amenities for the families, such as, accessible picnic areas, restrooms, basketball court, soccer fields, and a tennis court.

Things to Do

• Families can have a nature trip at the Rose garden that offers stunning views of different species of roses. This is the oldest rose garden in Portland, the flowers are beautiful, especially in the Spring. The oldest rose garden displays 5,000 rose plants and it has a huge fountain in the centre.
• The park offers many paved and unpaved paths for walking and strolling and taking in fresh air.
• There is a play area for children, where little kids can play around all day, the play area has slides, swings, and structures to climb upon.
• There is an outdoor pool for swimming. The pool is closed in winters.
• A small gift shop at the entrance stocks toys and games for kids.
• Complete your day with a picnic in the picnic area.
• There is an amphitheater for concerts and movies.
