Activity Overview
Trace the evolution of humanity by touring the numerous galleries of the Penn Museum (also called the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology), where you will find close to a million relics from dozens of cultures.
Permanent exhibits include statues, masks, sculptures, paintings, tapestries and even mummies from Egypt, Africa, Israel, China, Italy, Greece, Japan, Mexico, Central America and more.
Special exhibits include such riveting topics as Human Evolution, Iraq's Ancient Past, Making and Unmaking Race, Hollywood in the Amazon, Vaults of Heaven and Native American Voices.

- From iTunes, download a one-hour "Highlights of the Galleries" audio tour. This tour will soon be available at the museum for a fee of $5.
- Only some of the galleries have air conditioning, so several areas of the museum are quite hot in the summertime.
