The Philbrook Museum of Art is one of the most popular museums in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It is located inside Villa Philbrook, a beautiful Italian Renaissance villa surrounded by elaborate gardens that was once the home of oil pioneer Waite Phillips. In 1938, he donated the villa and gardens to the city of Tulsa for use as a cultural institution. Today, it showcases an impressive collection of artwork, including European, Native American, Modern, African, and Asian art.
