Activity Overview

Pittock Mansion was built in 1914 and it is a historic mansion and was owned by Henry Pittock and his wife Georgiana. The mansion withholds many stories and has a rich history of its construction and the residence of the Pittock family. The mansion faced quite a destruction during the 1962 storm. The mansion was restored in 1965 and opened to the public for tours. The mansion is open daily, it is closed in January and other holidays. Guided tours of the mansion are available. Visitors can hike up to the mansion via the Wildwood Trail.

  • Take a self-guided or guided tour of the historic mansion, guided tours are very informative and last for about 60 minutes.
  • Take a self-guided tour of the mansion and see the historic architecture and period furniture. Hikers can use the hiking trails to access the mansion on foot.
  • The grounds outdoor are lush green and families can enjoy a picnic, there are beautiful and aromatic gardens, hiking trails and views of the city.
  • The museum store stocks many items for purchase—gifts, souvenirs, decorations, toys, games and books.
  • If you want to take an inside look of the mansion, take the behind the scenes tour, it shows the underground hallways, the vault and more.
