Plimoth Plantation is 3 miles south of downtown Plymouth. It is a living museum in Plymouth Massachusetts, USA. This living history museum portrays the life of Native Americans in early-17th century and the life of the Pilgrims. It has great activities for older children and for young children as well.
Things to Do
Plimoth Plantation is a beautiful recreation of ancient times and the views from the Native village and the pilgrim village are so stunning. There you have the actors in character through out the exhibits, which are really enjoyable and informative.
It also has an interesting museum that has gift shops. Native Americans village gives a hint of America's early days. It explains well what their rituals are, how their homes were constructed, and how they prepare food for themselves.
Demonstrations at craft center is superb, it sounds great on paper. You can also hire a bike and cycle. Here’s a woman, dressed in modern day clothes cooking beans and a young man inside who is very informative. Then after a short walk there is an English village that is quite large.
There is a bathroom, snack bar and picnic tables too. The best thing is you will be able to see a short intro film, which does really a good job.

- The indoor and outdoor exhibits a large living history so keep children with yourself as this is easy to wander off and become separated.
- There are also a display of daily tools that include fire, saws, knives and mallets outside there.
