If you are missing some pieces to a puzzle, save those pieces instead of rendering the puzzle useless. There are lots of fun crafts that you can do with old puzzle pieces. Create these amusing Puzzled Faces with a few easy steps. You just have to envision a face out of the piece and get to work.
Use your imagination to create unique faces in different shades, hairstyles, and with different expressions. Every puzzle piece is unique and can be made into a different friendly face. Add a magnet to the back to make refrigerator magnets or glue them to paper and draw a body and scenery to accent the fancy puzzled face.
Materials Needed
- Old flat bottomed puzzle pieces with a tab on each side
- Paint
- Paintbrush
- Googly eyes
- Glue
- Yarn
- Sharpie Marker
How to Make Them
- Paint the back surface of a puzzle piece completely and set aside to dry.
- Hold the puzzle piece with the flat side toward you and envision it as a face with the tabs at the sides for ears.
- Place googly eyes where you feel the eyes should be and affix with glue.
- Gather yarn in any way that you would like and glue on the top for hair. See some of our ideas above.
- Use a Sharpie Marker to draw facial features.
