Activity Overview

Revere Beach, which is located just a few miles north of Boston, is the oldest public beach in the United States. Since its establishment in 1896, the beach has been one of the most popular attractions in the area due to its beautiful views and the addition of exciting attractions like amusement park rides and bowling alleys. While most of these attractions have been closed or destroyed in past decades, the beach area is currently being revitalized. It remains a popular outdoor recreation area and is also known for its annual sand sculpting festival.

Things to Do

  • Enjoy the beautiful views from the water while canoeing or kayaking as a family.
  • Teach your child how to fish while visiting the beach!
  • Relax on the beach while sunbathing and building sandcastles.
  • Cool down after spending the day in the sun by visiting nearby Revere - Cronin Skating Rink, where ice skating costs just $5 per person.

Revere Beach Insider Tips

  • If you're visiting in July, make sure to check out the annual Revere Beach International Sand Sculpting Festival, where you can see breathtaking sand sculptures created by talented artists.
  • When you get hungry consider stopping by one of the many local restaurants which sell everything from pizza to fresh seafood and various Asian cuisines.
  • Check out their calendar to learn about upcoming events such as the Revere Farmers' Market, movie nights, festivals, and guided sports activities.
