Visit Rochester Contemporary Art Center, popularly known as ROCO, and introduce your kids to the world of contemporary art. The admission fee of $2 is a small amount to pay to see this small, non-profit gallery located in East End boasting of amazing masterpieces from local artists. The 6x6 event is one of the best exhibits that ROCO hosts annually. The event features thousands of artworks from individuals around the globe set in a 6x6 material of any type.

Things to Do

• Take the little ones with you during the 6x6 exhibit and let them choose their favorite works of art! 6x6 is ROCO's annual fundraiser and each piece is sold for only $20. Guests will only be informed of the artist's identity after purchasing a piece. You might be surprised at who the artist is! The event is participated by well-known artists and celebrities or you might get one designed by a talented kid from school.
• Outside of the 6x6 exhibit, the Main Gallery showcases works of local artists all-year round. Visit ROCO's exhibition page to know about the latest display.
• Check out the events page for activities spearheaded by ROCO such as Brooklyn Bridge, a gathering focusing on discussions about various topics, and Poolastic, a swimming pool made of 10,000 plastic bottles collected on Rochester streets.
