Roeding Park in Fresno California is a huge park with lush green landscape, gardens, playgrounds, tennis courts and a beautiful lake. Roeding Park is a perfect place to bring family and enjoy a day outdoors and create memories. The 159 acres park was designed in 1903 and is named after the land owners Fredrick Roeding and his son agriculturist George C. Roeding. The park has a lake and beautiful little lily ponds, and you can see animals in the Chaffee zoo. The park is open all year round and there is an entrance fee per vehicle.

Things to Do

  • Visit the extensive park anytime of the year, it has lakes, green lawn and many flowering plants and trees like maple, pine, cedar and redwood.
  • The park has dance pavilions, tennis courts, play grounds and a playland for kids. The playland has rides for the kiddos, paddle boats and a splash park.
  • Children can see a number of animals at the Chaffee zoo, the lake in the park can be used for fishing.
  • There are picnic tables and barbecue grills to enjoy a picnic with family and friends. A separate play area for the dogs.
