Activity Overview

Sauvie Island farms are located on the beautiful Sauvie Island in Portland, Oregon, the farms are owned by David and Vicki Egger. The beautiful farms offer fresh and healthy produce and some very delicious local grown veggies and fruits. Visitors can select and pick up the best of blueberries, pumpkins, peaches, strawberries, sweet corn, and other fruits, plus visitors can buy cucumbers, cabbage, pumpkins and beans from the wholesale market in the farms. Feel like a farmer for the day! You can also shop for a variety of flowers and herbs, and all this in a very affordable price. The Sauvie Island farms are open to visitors Monday through Saturday.

Things to Do

• Bring your children to the beautiful farm location, pick up the freshest and most delicious fruits, vegetables and herbs right off the farm field.
• You will be a given a wagon and other tools to pick up your harvest, kids will enjoy picking up the fruits from the farms.
• From June until August you can get strawberries, cherries, raspberries, blueberries, peaches, pears, sweet corn, broccoli, cauliflower, lettuce, zucchini, tomatoes, green beans, and cucumbers.
• Pumpkins are grown in October, shop for a variety of seasonal flowers and herbs including, basil, oregano, and lavender from June until August.
• Pick up pumpkins and enjoy hay rides, hay maze in the Halloween season.
• You can get cut-your-own Christmas trees at the farm.
