Activity Overview
Seaport Village Carousel is a historic carousel that was hand-carved in 1895 by Charles Looff. The carousel features 54 animals, two horse-drawn chariots and 40 hand-painted landscapes. The animals range anywhere from the traditional horse to a lion, teddy bear, giraffe, and even a dragon! All horses have natural horse hair tails. The carousel features the original organ from when it was first built. This carousel had six previous locations before calling San Diego home.
