Activity Overview

Shadowcreek Park is a small, charming park nestled deep in a neighborhood of Citrus Heights outside of the city of Sacramento. It offers a nice short walk and the opportunity to see a lovely creek. There is a good bit of open green space where you can enjoy a picnic on a good day and play around with your dog or your kids. If they get tired of that then you can let them loose on the park's playground while you enjoy some time off!

Things to Do

• This park is a great place for a picnic. It is well shaded thanks to the abundance of trees and gives the impression of being out inn nature thanks to the beautiful creek despite the fact that you are surrounded by neighborhoods all around. So you can lay out a blanket on the grass or depending on the weather you may opt for the many tables under the covered picnic table area.
• This park is definitely kid friendly. As any parent will know all most kids need is an open area for them to explore and they'll be off! If you don't mind them getting dirty then Shadowcreek Park has a good amount to explore in a relatively small space so it shouldn't be tough to keep your eye on them. There is the playground too of course which has slides and a climbing structure.
