Activity Overview
Slaven Park is a small public park located in Woodland, California, approximately 20 miles northwest of Sacramento. The park is named after Jack Slaven, the city's first Recreation Director, who encouraged the creation of local youth recreation programs and sports leagues. It features two playgrounds for toddlers and older children, a spray ground, and several shaded picnic areas, as well as plenty of space where your child can run around and play. If you're looking for a small park where you can take the whole family for a fun-filled afternoon in the California sun, consider a visit to Slaven Park.
Things to Do
- Take your little one to the special playground designed for children under the age of 5. They'll have a blast playing on its small play structure, which is located in a safe area away from the playground for older children.
- Watch your child run, jump, slide, and climb on the play structure designed for children between the ages of 5 and 12!
- Go for a walk or bring along rollerblades so you can skate around the park on its paved paths.
- In the summertime, cool off with a visit to the spray ground - children love running through its mists, sprays, and sprinklers, playing with its water cannons, and splashing in the sun. It's open daily from May through October.
