The West Side Market is a living Cleveland tradition with a history stretching back over a hundred years. Aside from the wonderful food market that takes place within its confines the market itself is a wonderful architectural treasure. The yellow brick market house that stands at its center was designed by the same architects who designed many of Cleveland's other most famous buildings. Its 137 foot clock tower is a Cleveland landmark. These days the market is home to over one hundred vendors of all kinds of backgrounds who sell ready to eat quality fresh produce.

Things to Do

• If you are a food lover you will have the time of your life here at the West Side Market. There is a wonderful variety of fresh seafood and meat along with candy, herbs, vegetables, flowers and so much more. The best thing to do is just dive in!
• The Market offers a New Shopper Tour on the last Saturday of every month. This tour involves an informative stroll around the market designed to give visitors an insight into the numerous vendors and their various products.
• Any other group tours who wish to explore the market are asked to make their arrangements with the Market Office first as the Market is first and foremost a place of business.

• To plan your day's shopping you can get a full list of the market's vendors online.
• There is plenty of free parking provided on site. You can enter the Market's parking lot from Lorain Ave. or West 24th Street.
• The Market is closed on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. It is also closed on certain holidays like Labor Day.
