Activity Overview

Spencer-peirce-little farm is a century old farm offering many family-friendly hands on activities. Get an insight into rural farming of the bygone era. There are many activities to carry out, hiking on nature trails, picnicking, family events, lectures and more. The historic farm was acquired in 1635, farm grounds still keep farm animals, animals you can see are sheep, goats, chicken and a horse. John Spencer and Daniel Peirce were the initial owners of the land and the farm. The Little family lived in the farm for 135 years. The farm and all the activities continue June through October.

Things to Do

  • Visit this wonderful farm with your family in Newbury, MA, visit the old stone house built in 1690 that represents different periods of its occupancy.
  • The ground have hiking trails and bicycling trails that can be used year round. The grounds are also used for picnicking.
  • Do horse back riding and visit the farm animals, see goats, sheep, horses, roosters, chicken and more.
  • Interesting vintage furniture to see at the house, including a pine desk and bookcase, a dining table used by the Little family, and the 1652 baby cradle.
  • Take a guided tour of the farm to learn the history of the farm house, see the artifacts and learn the families stories.
