Activity Overview
Create abstract art from a unique freehand squiggle that you draw on a piece of paper and color them in with vibrant and distinctive colors. When you overlap your squiggling line all over a piece of paper and you will find that the intersecting lines form a variety of shapes.
Color each segment a different color and leave some segments plain. Children of all ages will find enjoyment in this independent activity which creates a unique and vibrant work of art that is different every time your attempt it.
Materials Needed
- Paper
- Crayons
- A pencil, pen or marker
How to Make It
- Use a pen or a pencil or marker in a dark color to draw a loopy and overlapping squiggle that covers the entire piece of paper.
- Now take your crayons and color in the different segments that are formed from the overlapping lines of your squiggle as shown in the photos above. Use different vibrant colors to fill in the spaces.
