Activity Overview
The Saint Louis Science Center is an interactive, hands‐on science and technology museum located in Saint Louis Missouri. With over 700 interactive exhibits, the Science Center is the 5th largest science center and the 24th largest museum of any kind in the United States. You'll find lots of practical scientific displays so kids actually get to see how stuff works.
Things to See & Do
Enjoy a free show about electricity (kids have a chance to touch a static ball at the end of the show) as well as see lots of interactive displays.
Play the role of scientist in The Lab - Put on safety goggles and lab coats on (like real scientists) and follow a set of specific directions.
Dig for dinosaur bones in the Dana Brown Paleo Lab and Dig Site and then pay a visit to Mr. T-Rex, the animatronic dinosaur.
Visit the James S. McDonnell Planetarium featuring the unique Boeing Space Station, with two fabulous levels of exhibits that incorporate scientific research, illustrating the future of space travel. In the Crew Quarters see how space station dwellers eat, exercise, sleep and dress in space, as well as how medical needs and the stations internal and external environments are maintained.
The sky walk over the highway to get to the planetarium is really neat - they have a clear window in the floor so you can look down on traffic.
Track the speed of the cars with a radar gun from the sky walk over the highway.
Catch a short movie at the The Omni-Max Theater. (additional fee)
