There are plenty of fun activities to enjoy for the whole family at Mc Kinney's Storybook Ranch! This charming place is genuinely like an old time ranch from the West where you can ride horses and ponies. Little ones will love the petting zoo and wagon rides while almost any age can learn how to get up on the horse and should soon be out for a trail ride.
Things to Do
- The Ranch say that their horseriding lessons are open to any ability from age 5 to 95. They offer Western and English tuition and classes can be paid for per lesson or in a package of multiple classes.
- Kids aged from 6 to 12 can take advantage of the Ranch's Spring and Summer Camps. As part of these camps they will be treated to daily horse rides where they can learn the basics and become comfortable on horseback. They will learn all about safe riding and also take part in arts and crafts and various field day activities.
- If you have an interest in history then you should take a tour of the Ranch's Dry Bones Town. Here you can find many buildings of historical interest which were dismantled and set back up at the Ranch to be protected and preserved.
