Activity Overview

Storyland is a fairytale-themed playground located within City Park in New Orleans. This magical fantasyland is a popular attraction for families with young children, who can explore larger-than-life sculptures of their favorite storybook settings and characters, including Captain Hook's pirate ship and Cinderella's pumpkin carriage. It's also a great place for birthday parties due to its fun themed party areas, which include a castle, Pinocchio's whale, and the Cheshire Cat.

Things to Do

• Check out all of the wonderful storybook exhibits. You'll greet Humpty Dumpty and Little Bo Peep at the entrance, see Mother Goose flying in the trees, and find Peter Rabbit hidden within the plants.
• Visit the Three Little Pigs, or fly down the giant dragon slide as many times as you want!
• Watch your child have a blast while testing their balancing skills by crossing a shallow pond using stepping stones.

• Make the most of your admission price! Admission to Storyland also includes admission to the New Orleans Botanical Garden and Carousel Gardens Amusement Park, which are both located in City Park.
• Give your child a birthday full of wonder with a party in Storyland! It offers party packages in four different party areas: the indoor Storyland Cottage, the Cheshire Cat gazebo, Pinocchio's Whale, and the Storyland Castle.
• If you live in the area and plan to visit City Park's numerous attractions often, consider purchasing a season pass in order to save money on admission fees.
