The Leonardo

Activity Overview

The Leonardo is a museum in downtown Salt Lake City named after famous artist and inventor Leonardo da Vinci. It is located inside of the city's former public library building, and features a wide variety of exhibits related to art, science, and technology that are designed to inspire creativity and innovation in visitors of all ages. Its hands-on exhibits and exciting family programs make it one of Salt Lake City's most popular museums.

Things to Do

• Check out the exhibits - they're constantly changing so you'll always find something new to see. You can find their current list of exhibits here.
• Take your child to Camp Cranium - these great camp programs are designed for children between the ages of 5 and 18 who are eager to learn about the world.
• If you live in the area, see if your teen wants to participate in Mind Riot, a unique entrepreneurship program that will allow them to come up with creative business ideas with other teens, experts, and mentors.

• The Leonardo doesn't have its own designated parking lot, but there are plenty of nearby parking areas you can choose from in downtown Salt Lake City. Look at their Visit Us page for more information on free parking on weekends, street parking, and paid parking lots.
• Attend their free events! Leo After Hours features public lectures that deal with current events, while Trivia Night, held every third Friday of the month, features food and a fun quiz related to science, pop culture, art history, and other topics that you can do on your own or with a group of friends.
• Don't forget to stop by the Leo Store, where you can pick up unique gifts related to the museum's exhibits.
