The Works: Ohio Center for History, Art & Technology is an educational museum in Newark, Ohio, which is located approximately 30 miles from Columbus. This family attraction is designed as a place where children of all ages can learn while doing creative hands-on activities. Your child is sure to have a blast as they visit its interactive science labs, view history exhibits and art galleries, and participate in captivating glass blowing demonstrations.

Things to Do

• Travel back in time with a visit to the history exhibits, which focus on the history of Newark and the surrounding areas from prehistoric times to the present.
• Visit the Glass Studio, where you can watch as artists transform molten glass into beautiful vases and bowls. Children as young as 9 can also take part in the fascinating demonstrations.
• Explore the interactive science labs, where children and their parents can create gravity machines, take computers apart to see how they work, and do experiments.
• Take your little one to the Tyke Lab, a special area for children 6 and under where they can play and create to their hearts' content.
